Devilcorp.org Featured in Nashville Scene Exposé on Shady Direct Sales Firms

We’re proud to share that journalist Nick Pipitone has published a powerful article in Nashville Scene titled “Inside the Shady Job Pipeline Hiding in Plain Sight,” investigating direct sales and professional fundraising companies operating in the Nashville area.

The piece explores how companies like Zeal TN Inc. use misleading job ads to lure desperate job seekers into high-turnover, commission-only roles with long hours and few protections. These schemes, often disguised with corporate-sounding job titles and vague promises, rely on a constant churn of new recruits to survive.

The article includes a detailed mention of Devilcorp.org and our mission to expose these exploitative firms, as well as a link to our subreddit, which now has over 16,000 members. Devilcorp founder Ben Jamieson was also quoted in the piece, describing these companies’ recruitment strategy as “a numbers game and a little bit like a slaughterhouse.”
